What Glorious weather we are having at the moment in East Gippsland.
We are spending a week at our home away from home. Rod is doing some fence maintainance and I have been walking each day and just enjoying the lovely weather. Tonight we decided to have fish and chips and a wine outside the Wine Bar and watch the full moon appear over Raymond Island.
Caught up with Julie and Helen earlier in the week. Good to see Helen doing so well in her Shop.
I developed some photos today to add to my Xmas Mini Album. I needed to add in some pics of Chloe and Charlie.
Hoping to attend the Farmer’s Market tomorrow and get in another long walk.
xzWe have had a wonderful day in Melbourne today . We drove to Lilydale and caught the train into Docklands. Got off at Southern Cross Station and then had a short walk to Dock 5 where the Magic Charters Boat was waiting.
We arrived early so we just sat and enjoyed the sunshine. Carlton and Hawthorn were playing football at Etihad Stadium so there were plenty of supporters on the train and around Docklands.
Rod told me that this was a red pepper corn tree. The flowers were quite pretty. Going under the West Gate Bridge was pretty cool.
We had a great spot not far from the window. I loved going out the back of the boat taking pics and just enjoying the fresh sea air.
The food was lovely, sandwiches, small quiches and a mix of small pies as well as some fried rice balls which were yummy!
What a stunning day to be out on the water.
We got to cruise past Station Pier at Port Melbourne. So different to see this from the water. The Tasmanian Ferry wasn’t in dock today.
That’s the Melbourne Star Wheel to the left of this pic. The weather was just perfect.....I told Rod we’ll have to do this again in a few years for my birthday.
What a glorious few days we have had over the weekend. Stunning blue skies after cold mornings....perfect weather for gardening and taking photos.
On Saturday I ventured in to Melbourne to join my Photoh Group at Albert Park Lake. Funny thing was I arrived early and was waiting at the wrong cafe LOL! By 10 to 10 I realised that I had to walk about another 1 km to where the others were waiting at the carosel Cafe.
It was lovely to see so many families out and about....some kids doing sailing,joggers,walkers.....mums running with prams around the track and paths......dog walkers......
.........our Theme for the session was “ Setting Shutter Speed”
I always struggle with this so I was pleased that Matt took the session this time as he set us some interesting and fun challenges.
After the meet up I wandered through the Royal Arcade. Love looking at all the shops in there on my way up to Myers to have some lunch.
Sunday I helped Rod in the garden doing some pruning and weeding.
In the afternoon I took some more photos at the Watergarden for a middle of Winter update on FB. I enjoy taking pics around there any time of the year.
It changes all the time.
This week we have the Probus Xmas in July at the Healesville RACV Country Club......I’m also taking my step mum out for a day......thinking we’ll go to Sky High on Mount Dandenong.
With a bit of sunshine around today we decided it was a great day to get out in the garden and do some weeding and mulching. Cleaned up the path around the fishpond and Rod added some more bags of mulch.
With Winter well and truely here there isn’t much growth happening so weeds should be easy now to keep under control.
Looking forward to having Chloe here tomorrow. Might make pancakes for lunch and let her do some painting of egg cartons. Hopefully I should have some pipe cleaners and large google eyes. She can then create something fun! 😀
