Here's my project share for today..........BIRTHDAY CARD ENVELOPE/LAYOUT

I thought that it would be fun to make a Birthday Card Envelope that can be added to a Scrapbook Layout to hold birthday cards.......so here's what I have in mind for Sam (grandson) for next year when he turns 3.
Step 1 - take a sheet of cardstock 11" x 11"(change size to suit) I used cardstock from Bella " Paper Boys Paperz "Range

Step 2 - using trimmer to line up at the 51/2" mark - take pencil and mark in the track as shown

Step 3 - mark in the track both sides of cardstock to form a cross..this is your centre

Step 4 -using the cross as a guide..fold in one corner

Step 5 - now fold in the oppostite corner

Step 6 - fold in the third corner leaving the fourth corner open

Step 7 - using double sided tape...adhere two sides of the bottom triangle as shown..you place it so that it overlaps on one triangle underneath and then close the next triangle over it so that you get a nice finish

Step 8 -this is what the front look s like now - I have left the top flap folded under
Step 9 - Using some cardstock or paper from your stash cut a 5" x 5" square and a 51/2" x 51/2" square and adhere to the front of envelope. Add some fun embellishments depending on who the envelope is for
Step 10 - Create your own fun birthday card to fit inside the envelope. I shall do this at a later date. Once the birthday is over and you have taken pics and there are more birthday cards...add cards into the envelope and attach envelope to your Layout Add some birthday pics around the edge and some Journaling....and viola.........you're done!!!

If you have read through everything on here then well done! PHEW!! I do like to talk a bit....LOL!
ok...........now you are hopping over to
